:I was debating how I was gonna make mine. Now I know, except I happen to have some 1-1/4 x 3 steel tube laying around that I'll use. If you end up re-shimming, please post the final thicknesses. :-) The only draw-back to using steel is the weight of the tool, the weight of it might have a hard time of fastening itself to the rim of the wheel, thats why I went with aluminum. Plus the devise is all bolted, I was afraid that welding the aluminum would cause to much warping, and the bolts will allow for adjusting the squareness in the future.
